The Kidney Knot (Big Knot At The Bottom Of Halter) Is Designed For Adjusting The Noseband Size And If A Horse Sits Back While Tied To Cross-Ties WITHOUT The Double-Ended Clip Keeping The Kidney Knot From Coming Out, That Knot Will Untie Itself. If You Have A Horse That Sits Back, We HIGHLY Suggest Hard Tying To Something That Is Not Breakable. I absolutely love the the halter set! There is so much control and comfort. It is so easy to handle! I have other rope halter that I paid a ton of money for they are awesome, but they do not hold a candle to the MG halter! Absolutely stunning now I gotta get a second one for my other horse!

Love the product, quality material and great design.. Loved color, loved that apparently the purple reins are back ordered and I was sent something to use until my purple reins arrive… very cool
I am getting a little older and I don’t have the same strength and agility that I used to have. I was having difficulty gaining my horses respect and giving his face. Once I started using this halter I was getting some respect but not always 100% of the time. He seemed to be able to out manoeuvre and over power me in some circumstances. I tried using a set of long lines on the halter to ground drive him all over the neighbourhood. He very quickly learned that he couldn’t overpower or out maneuver me with the long lines. He learned to respect the halter and he is so soft in the face that I have no trouble controlling the nose now.
I also really liked the way I was able to transition into the saddle and continue using the halter for riding. I moved the clips up higher on the halter and dropped the nose band a little lower for added control. He was so good at giving to pressure that I felt really safe riding in the halter.
I live in Canada and the money exchange rate is brutal. But honestly, this set has been worth every penny.
I can’t stress enough how much of a game changer it has been. Don’t hesitate to get this set.
